A devastating fire swept through a residential building in East Delhi's Vivek Vihar on Sunday, leaving nine individuals from two families dead, officials reported.
The incident unfolded at 3.48 am in a four-storey complex, drawing rapid responses from local police, fire, and disaster management teams. The fire ravaged multiple floors, trapping occupants in the terrifying blaze.
Despite the rescue efforts involving 12 fire tenders and DDMA teams, nine lives, including a toddler, were lost. The cause of the fire remains under investigation as political leaders express condolences to the affected families.
