Lajpat Nagar Shines: A Stellar Win at DMRC Foundation Day

Lajpat Nagar Metro Station emerged victorious, receiving the prestigious Best Metro Station award during the 32nd Foundation Day celebrations of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Sunday.

The event, hosted at Bharat Mandapam, saw attendance from notable dignitaries such as Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupa, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Tokhan Sahu, and DMRC's Chairman K Srinivas, among others. The ceremony honored individuals and teams for their significant contributions to the corporation.

Accomplishments recognized included Metro Woman of the Year, awarded to Sushma Yadav, and Metro Man of the Year, given to Harendra Kumar. Also acknowledged were Lajpat Nagar for Best Metro Station and Najafgarh for Best Metro Depot. The event underscored DMRC's role in urban transport development, a sentiment echoed by various government officials and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, a longstanding supporter.
