Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa commended a workshop titled 'Beat Plastic Pollution', organized by the Environment Department. The event aimed to foster collective action and youth engagement in tackling plastic waste in the capital.
The workshop brought together policymakers, educators, and over 150 students, featuring exhibitions, street plays, and expert-led sessions discussing sustainable solutions to plastic waste. The program began with a ceremonial lamp-lighting and a welcome song at Bal Bhavan Public School.
Highlighting systemic interventions, Sirsa pointed out the significance of youth in the battle against pollution, urging continued efforts to eliminate single-use plastics. Participants concluded the workshop with a pledge to sustain their efforts for a cleaner environment.
