A tragic territorial conflict led to the death of a tigress in the Dudhwa National Park's buffer zone on Tuesday, according to forest officials.
Found in the Majhgain range, the tigress's body bore signs of a violent clash, Deputy Director Kirti Chaudhary confirmed. The fight was with a male tiger, she added.
The carcass was taken to the range headquarters for a postmortem conducted by a team of three veterinary doctors, adhering to National Tiger Conservation Authority protocols.
