Another cyclonic circulation is prevailing over the southwest Arabian Sea and adjoining Lakshadweep and Kerala coast. Under its influence, isolated heavy rainfall is likely in Kerala between May 9 and 13, IMD said. The IMD also forecast thunderstorm activity accompanied by lightning and strong winds reaching speeds of 30 to 50 kmph at isolated places in Kerala and Mahe over the next five days.
