In a thrilling return journey, two Amur falcons, tagged in Manipur, are migrating back to their breeding grounds in the Far East after spending the winter months in Southern Africa.
Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav announced on Saturday that the falcons, which spent over four months in their non-breeding grounds, are making their spring migration, passing through India.
The project, funded by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, highlights the success of community-led conservation efforts and provides crucial insights into the management and conservation of these migratory birds.
