Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday directed officials to set up a single-portal dashboard to track project grounding, approvals, and employment generation.
Naidu emphasised that top priority should be given to tourism projects in land allocation, followed by IT companies, according to a press release.
''Establish a single-portal dashboard to monitor project grounding, approvals, and employment generation,'' Naidu said during a review meeting.
Suggesting innovative, multi-purpose buildings for tourism and IT-related projects, he instructed officials to prepare plans to transform Suryalanka Beach into a ''Goa Plus'' destination, along with an early master plan for Bapatla Beach.
The CM also called for fast-tracking a Temple Tourism Circuit linking 21 major temples in the state, the release said.
Naidu directed that IT projects should begin operations within 18 months, while semiconductor and electronics component manufacturing projects should be strongly encouraged.
He also reviewed the agreements signed during the Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam and the projects approved by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB).
During the review meeting, IT Minister Nara Lokesh informed the CM that the state had secured 756 projects worth Rs 21.6 lakh crore over the past 23 months, with the potential to generate 21.2 lakh jobs.
He said a dedicated website for MSME approvals and related services would also be launched soon.
Naidu directed officials and ministers to ensure the grounding of approved projects by September 2026 and their commissioning by December 2028, according to the press release.
He emphasised that Andhra Pradesh should demonstrate its ''Speed of Doing Business'' model through effective execution.
The TDP supremo stressed prioritising transmission and solar rooftop projects to help the state rapidly achieve its target of 160 GW of green energy generation.
Officials informed the CM that 99 GW of green energy projects are already under construction.
Naidu also called for faster establishment of waste-to-energy plants to promote a circular economy and continuous engagement with industrialists to ensure 46 food processing projects become operational by December 2027.
He directed officials to prepare an action plan to accelerate shipbuilding centres, ports, airports, and inland waterways projects, highlighting the sector's strong growth potential.
He also called for swift action on establishing an escrow account mechanism for industries and implementing the ''MSME Right to Business Act'' to enable entrepreneurs to register and begin operations more easily.
Meanwhile, officials informed the CM that land acquisition for projects such as BPCL, Indosol, and Sri City Phase-II was progressing rapidly.
For the BPCL project, nearly 2,000 acres out of the required 3,000 acres were registered in just three days, they said.
The state government has also developed an IT portal to resolve inter-departmental pending issues, the press release added.
