Three underground multi-level parking facilities are set to be established in Delhi, with the proposal scheduled for discussion during the Municipal Corporation of Delhi's (MCD) House meeting on May 25.
According to the agenda circulated for the meeting, the projects are planned for New Friends Colony, Jangpura, and Kalkaji under the Central Zone.
The proposal seeks approval for a revised contractual amount of Rs 107.44 crore, an increase from the earlier amount of Rs 104.20 crore for work already completed.
Additionally, the civic body will also consider granting revised administrative approval and expenditure sanction for the project, increasing the total project cost from Rs 104.20 crore to Rs 131.19 crore, the agenda stated.
Beyond the parking projects, the House agenda includes proposals regarding the extension of contracts for the collection and transportation of municipal solid waste and street sweeping in the South and West zones.
A proposal for constructing a community centre in C-Block, Seemapuri, under the Shahdara (North) Zone is also included in the agenda.
Officials said the elections for ward committees and the six vacant seats on the Standing Committee, originally scheduled for May 23, have been postponed and are now likely to take place on June 3.
The previously scheduled ward committee elections on May 19 have also been rescheduled to May 29.
In addition, 14 adjourned House meetings that have been pending since January 2024 - including those from June, July, and October 2024, multiple dates in November 2025, and January, February, March (two meetings), and April 2026 - will also be addressed on May 25.
The General House proceedings will commence at 2.30 pm and continue in back-to-back sessions with 10-minute intervals until 4.40 pm, according to officials.
