Saatvik Green Energy on Tuesday said it has secured a Rs 171.45-crore order for supply of solar modules for a utility-scale solar project.

The modules being supplied are TOPCon Bifacial Glass-Glass Solar PV Modules, a latest-generation solar technology, that generates power from both sides of the panel, not just the front, significantly increasing energy output compared to conventional modules, a company statement said.

According to the statement, Saatvik Green Energy said it has received and accepted an order aggregating to Rs 171.45 crore for a domestic independent power producer.

Saatvik Green Energy CEO Prashant Mathur said in the statement, ''Being selected to supply modules for a domestic independent power producer of this magnitude at one of India's most important solar sites is a meaningful endorsement of what we have built.''.

Saatvik Green Energy is one of India's leading solar photovoltaic module manufacturers, with a strong presence across utility-scale, commercial & industrial, EPC, and distributed solar segments.

The company operates a 4.8-GW module manufacturing facility in Ambala, Haryana, and is developing a greenfield integrated manufacturing facility in Odisha with 4 GW of module capacity and 4.8 GW of solar cell capacity.
