Agri Alert: U.S. Reinforces Texas Screwworm Defense

Rollins emphasized that the possible detection of the New World Screwworm is being fully contained. She reassured the public that it does not pose a threat to the American food supply or consumer safety, sharing these remarks in a post on social platform X.

Currently, the screwworm specimen has arrived at a facility in Ames, Iowa, where it is being transferred to the National Veterinary Services Laboratories for further examination.
