The escalating conflicts between India and Pakistan have led to the indefinite suspension of the Indian Premier League (IPL), a major setback for cricket fans worldwide. Tensions soared after a match was canceled in Dharamsala due to air raid alerts in nearby Jammu and Pathankot.
A BCCI official confirmed the suspension, acknowledging it was inappropriate to continue the league during such a critical time. Originally scheduled to conclude on May 25 in Kolkata, the tournament's future now hangs in the balance.
The decision comes in the wake of India's missile attacks on terror sites in Pakistan and its territories, following the deadly Pahalgam terror incident. Concurrently, the Pakistan Super League has been shifted to the UAE for safety concerns.
