The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) alongside IPL franchises is pressuring foreign cricket boards to ensure their players' return for the league's resumption. This comes in the wake of India's recent military tensions with Pakistan, which had previously led to the IPL's suspension.

In an effort to allay players' safety concerns, IPL Chief Operating Officer Hemang Amin has been instructed to engage directly with Cricket Australia and the England and Wales Cricket Board. These discussions aim to clarify the safety measures in place following necessary security clearances from the government.

With the revised IPL schedule announced, teams are actively communicating with overseas recruits to manage their return plans. Despite some hesitations among players, the BCCI remains optimistic about their return, as the league eyes playoff contention for several franchises.
