Uvais, a left-back hailing from the football-centric district of Malappuram, Kerala, began his professional career in 2017 and has since played across several clubs. His journey has seen him transition from local clubs to major teams, including a notable stint at Jamshedpur FC, where he made significant contributions.
Technical Director Nikolaos Topoliatis of Punjab FC hailed Uvais as a prime acquisition, citing his proven track record in domestic competitions. Uvais expressed enthusiasm, promising to channel his skills towards achieving wins and titles for Punjab FC in the upcoming seasons.
