Ludhiana Welcomes PGTI NEXGEN: A Golfing Spectacle Unveiled

The highly anticipated PGTI NEXGEN event is set to make a grand debut in Ludhiana from June 17 to June 19 at the renowned Imperial Golf Estate. This marks a significant milestone for professional golf in Punjab, with a substantial prize pool of Rs 20 lakh drawing top talents from across India.
The tournament will see 72 leading professional golfers compete over three rounds, with a cut implemented after 36 holes, narrowing the field to the top 36 players and ties for the final round. Currently, Rajesh Kumar Gautam of Lucknow leads the NEXGEN Order of Merit with earnings of Rs 4,29,600, eyeing an exemption on the main PGTI tour for the next season.
According to Amandeep Johl, CEO of PGTI, the event aims to expand India's golfing horizons and uncover local talent. The Imperial Golf Estate, designed by golfing legend Jack Nicklaus, offers a unique setting, promising an exceptional experience for both players and spectators. Malhotra Realty Pvt. Ltd.'s Kranti Vadhera expressed enthusiasm in hosting the event, highlighting the estate's potential as Punjab's premier golf venue.
