India's Olympic Spirit Shines at Special Olympic Day Run

Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya took an active role in the Special Olympic Day Run in New Delhi, as part of the International Olympic Committee's 'Let's Move' campaign. Addressing the nation's burgeoning fitness trends, Mandaviya praised India's strides under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
Highlighting the recent nationwide yoga celebrations, Mandaviya stated, "Yesterday, Yoga was celebrated in more than 10 lakh places, involving a crore of people in connecting with yoga." He credited the Yogasana Federation of India for advancing this mission with various initiatives.
"The Yogasana Federation has propelled this mission by organizing cycling events in 6000 locations, aligning with PM Modi's Fit India movement," Mandaviya added. Deputy Chief Minister Rekha Gupta shared her pride in Delhi's participation, envisioning a bright future for Indian sports under PM Modi's guidance and expressing aspirations for hosting the 2036 Olympics. She mentioned the government's efforts in enhancing sports infrastructure and opportunities throughout the nation.
The event was chaired by Sports Minister Mandaviya and Indian Olympic Association President PT Usha, solidifying its importance. PT Usha, known for promoting the Olympic spirit, remarked on the day's significance as a celebration of not only the modern Olympic movement but also the excellence, unity, and perseverance it symbolizes.
