Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has shared his disappointment over not reaching more centuries during his illustrious career. Known for his elegant left-handed batting, Ganguly scored 18,575 runs in Test and ODIs. However, he regrets the '30 times' he got out in the 80s and 90s.

In a candid conversation with PTI, Ganguly confessed he often reminisces while watching his old innings. Despite the nostalgia, he recognizes the missed opportunities that could have pushed his tally to over 50 centuries. Ganguly also mentioned the tough decisions he faced as a captain, including dropping legendary leg-spinner Anil Kumble.

The sporting icon also touched upon the rise of T20 leagues, acknowledging the difficulty in regulating players seeking high-paying tournaments. Looking ahead, a biopic on Ganguly's life is in the works, with Rajkumar Rao set to play the lead role, and the release is expected by 2026.
