Khadse's Surprise Visit Underlines SAI's Role in Shaping NE Sports Future

Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse conducted a surprise visit to the Sports Authority of India's Training Centre in Tripura on Tuesday. The minister aimed to review the facilities and engage directly with athletes to gain insights into the challenges they encounter.

This visit is part of the government's 'Poorvottar Sampark Setu' initiative, a strategic move where Union ministers conduct direct public engagement tours in the North-Eastern states to thoroughly review and address local issues.

At the Agartala facility, which focuses on gymnastics, Khadse examined the training amenities, coaching effectiveness, and athlete progress. Her assessment included inspecting training equipment, athlete accommodation, nutrition, and support services, reaffirming the center's vital contribution to the region's sports development.
