Marcus Trescothick, a former England opener, has been appointed as the batting coach for Southern Brave's men's team in The Hundred 2025. He succeeds Jimmy Adams, who will focus on coaching Hampshire. Trescothick, already serving as the England men's batting coach, fulfilled interim coaching duties during last year's white-ball series. This role marks his debut coaching assignment in The Hundred.

The women's side of Southern Brave will see Luke Williams as their new head coach for The Hundred 2025. Williams takes over from Charlotte Edwards, now the head coach of the England Women's team. He has been part of Southern Brave since the tournament's inception, contributing to their reaching finals in 2021 and 2022, and securing their first title in 2023.

Williams boasts a remarkable coaching track record, having led the Adelaide Strikers to consecutive WBBL victories in 2022 and 2023, and guiding Royal Challengers Bengaluru to their inaugural Women's Premier League trophy in 2024. After Edwards transitioned to a national role, Williams served as a consultant during England Women's home series against the West Indies. At Southern Brave, Williams will reconnect with Laura Wolvaardt, whom he coached at the Strikers.

In a statement via ESPNcricinfo, Williams expressed his honor in taking over from Edwards at Southern Brave. He emphasized the strong foundation built with the team's players and staff and their strategic acquisitions in the draft. Williams expressed optimism in returning to the Finals Day and striving for the title this summer. (ANI)
