India's cricket vice-captain, Smriti Mandhana, has moved up one place to secure the third spot in the International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings for batters in women's T20 Internationals.

In a dazzling performance against England, Mandhana smashed her first T20I century, scoring 112 runs off just 62 balls, which included 15 boundaries and three sixes. Her efforts not only led India to a convincing 97-run victory over England in Nottingham but also earned her a career-high 771 rating points.

Several other Indian players, including Shafali Verma and Harleen Deol, have also made strides in the rankings. In contrast, England's Lauren Bell has climbed to fourth place in the bowlers' category after taking three wickets in her match against India. The ICC highlighted the tight competition among bowlers, with Pakistan's Sadia Iqbal maintaining her top position.
