The final two spots in the FIFA Club World Cup quarterfinals are fiercely contested, with Spanish powerhouses Real Madrid and Italy's Juventus, alongside Germany's Borussia Dortmund or Mexico's CF Monterrey, vying for placement. Already, six clubs have secured their positions in anticipated match-ups.

Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal pulled off a stunning 4-3 victory over Manchester City, marking a monumental exit for the English club. Despite City taking an early lead through Bernardo Silva, Al-Hilal turned the game around with goals from Marcos Leonardo and Malcolm. Erling Haaland equalized for City, but Al-Hilal sealed the win with Kalidou Koulibaly's extra-time goal and Leonardo's decisive strike.

Meanwhile, Fluminense FC from Brazil clinched a 2-0 victory against Champions League finalists Inter Milan. Victories from Bayern Munich, PSG, Chelsea, and Palmeiras have set up a dramatic quarterfinal day featuring Fluminense vs Al Hilal, Palmeiras vs Chelsea, and PSG against Bayern Munich on July 5.
