Yuki Bhambri and his American partner, Robert Galloway, advanced to the second round of the men's doubles at Wimbledon after a straight-sets win against Romain Arneodo and Manuel Guinard on Wednesday. The Indo-American team showed impressive skills in their first-round match.
The match concluded with a score of 7-6(8) 6-4 and lasted almost two hours. Looking ahead, Bhambri and Galloway are set to face the winners of the clash between Robin Haase and Jean-Julien Rojer, or Marcos Giron and Nuno Borges, in the next round.
However, it was not all good news for Indian tennis, as Rohan Bopanna alongside Sander Gillé faced an early exit after a defeat against Germany's Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz in straight sets. Mixed fortunes continued as Rithvik Choudary Bollipalli and Nicolás Barrientos edged past their opponents in a thrilling three-setter.
