A Colombian national, Yostin Andres Mosquera, has been convicted of a gruesome double murder in London. The case shocked onlookers as details emerged of the crime involving dismemberment and transportation of body parts.
Mosquera murdered Albert Alfonso and Paul Longworth in their shared London flat. A jury at Woolwich Crown Court heard that after engaging in extreme sexual acts with Alfonso, Mosquera killed Longworth with a hammer and stabbed Alfonso to death following an altercation.
Mosquera attempted to dispose of the dismembered bodies using suitcases, taking them to Bristol's Clifton Suspension Bridge. He pleaded not guilty to murder charges but admitted to manslaughter due to loss of control. Sentencing is set for October 24.
