The Japanese Grand Prix will continue to be a key event in the MotoGP calendar until 2030 following a contract renewal. Held in Motegi since 2004, the race is vital for MotoGP, drawing 229,000 spectators in 2022. The 2025 event is set for September.

The MotoGP recently confirmed that the Japanese Grand Prix will remain a staple in its annual racing calendar until 2030. Following a new agreement, the iconic race will continue to be hosted in Motegi, where it has been held since 2004.
The Japanese GP has been part of the world championship since 1990. Last year, it attracted 229,000 spectators over three days, witnessing Francesco Bagnaia clinching victory. MotoGP rights owner Dorna Sports CEO, Carmelo Ezpeleta, emphasized Japan's continuing importance, noting that Motegi offers a spectacular show and excels in event organization.
The 2025 Japanese Grand Prix is currently slated for a September date, suggesting the event will continue to draw large crowds and retain its significant place in the MotoGP calendar.
