Stefanos Tsitsipas and Goran Ivanisevic Part Ways After Short Stint
Stefanos Tsitsipas has concluded his brief coaching partnership with Goran Ivanisevic after less than two months. Despite a promising start, Tsitsipas's struggles persisted, including a first-round Wimbledon retirement. Ivanisevic criticized Tsitsipas's preparation, though Tsitsipas expressed respect and gratitude towards Ivanisevic as they parted ways.

Stefanos Tsitsipas has ended his collaboration with coach Goran Ivanisevic after a period lasting less than two months, announced the former world number three. 'Working with Goran Ivanisevic was brief but an intense experience and a truly valuable chapter in my journey,' Tsitsipas shared on Instagram on Wednesday.
Ranked 29th, Tsitsipas brought Ivanisevic on board in May following a series of disappointing Grand Slam performances. The runner-up of both the 2021 French Open and the 2023 Australian Open had to pull out of his Wimbledon first-round match in June after trailing French qualifier Valentin Royer due to a back injury.
After Tsitsipas's early exit at Wimbledon, Ivanisevic delivered a harsh critique of the 26-year-old Greek, stating he had 'never seen a more unprepared player.' Tsitsipas, who has reached just one quarter-final in his last nine Grand Slam tournaments, nonetheless thanked Ivanisevic for the dedication shown. 'As we are now following our separate ways, I have only respect for Goran — not just for what he's achieved in tennis, but also for who he is as a person,' added Tsitsipas. Ivanisevic, Wimbledon champion in 2001, previously worked with Novak Djokovic and had a brief stint with Elena Rybakina this season.
