The study, titled 'Winning Together: Unlocking the Sports Economy between India and Manchester,' underscores escalating Indian corporate interest in Manchester's vibrant sporting arena.
The Consulate General of India in Manchester released the report, in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Grant Thornton Bharat. Presented during the India vs. England Test match at Old Trafford, it showcases Indian investments in varied sports, transcending traditional cricket.
Key suggestions include a Bilateral Working Group for public-private partnerships, an India-UK sportstech hub, and initiatives for gender-friendly sports ecosystems.
