2026 Women's Asian Cup: A Battle for Asian Supremacy
Defending champions China are set to compete against North Korea, Bangladesh, and Uzbekistan in the group phase of the 2026 Women's Asian Cup, while hosts Australia face the Philippines, South Korea, and Iran. The tournament determines qualifiers for the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil.

China, the reigning champions, have been drawn to compete against North Korea, Bangladesh, and Uzbekistan in the 2026 Women's Asian Cup's group stage. Host nation Australia will kick off the tournament against the Philippines in Perth on March 1.
Coached by Joe Montemurro, the Australian team, known as the Matildas, are set to face South Korea and Iran in a tournament featuring 12 nations. Meanwhile, Japan, Asia's top-ranked team, will compete against Taiwan, Vietnam, and India.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, joined by the best two third-placed teams. This event also acts as a qualifier for the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil, with semi-finalists earning spots in the tournament.
