Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe has openly addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding star striker Alexander Isak's future at the club. The Swedish footballer is rumored to be considering a move, with Liverpool reportedly leading the race for his signature. Howe admitted that while Isak is still under contract, his future isn't entirely in his hands.

Speaking to reporters in Seoul, Howe remarked, "He is still our player. He's contracted to us. We, to a degree, control what is next for him. I would love to believe all possibilities are still available to us." He further expressed his wish for Isak to remain at the club but acknowledged that no formal offers have been tabled for the player.

Isak, who joined Newcastle from Real Sociedad in 2022, has proved his mettle by scoring 62 goals in three years. His contributions were instrumental in Newcastle's Carabao Cup win and their Champions League qualification last season. However, his absence due to a thigh injury and Newcastle's recent 4-0 loss to Celtic have only intensified the discussions around his potential departure.

The upcoming matches against a K-League XI and Tottenham in Hong Kong are expected to test the team's dynamics without Isak. As Newcastle seeks to regain its form ahead of the new season, all eyes remain on Isak's next move.
