Bayern Munich has bolstered its squad by acquiring Colombian winger Luis Diaz from Liverpool. Announcing the four-year contract on Wednesday, the Bundesliga club has reportedly paid around 75 million euros for the 28-year-old player.
Diaz, who joined Liverpool in January 2022 from Porto for approximately 50 million euros, expressed his gratitude towards his former teammates and fans in a goodbye message on social media. He posted on Instagram about his pride in achievements and bonds formed while at the Merseyside club.
This significant transfer follows the earlier move of Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen, marking another major shift in player dynamics this transfer window. Bayern sporting director Max Eberl emphasized Diaz's experience and skill as key assets for the German club's ambitions.
