India's Young Talent Gears Up for Asian Boxing Championships in Bangkok
India has dispatched a 40-member squad for the Asian U19 and U22 Boxing Championships in Bangkok, starting Wednesday. The event features 396 boxers from 26 nations. The Indian team is led by three-time Asian Champion Vishvanath Suresh, with notable members including Sagar, Preet Malik, and Suman Kumari.

India has sent a formidable 40-member team to compete in the Asian U19 and U22 Boxing Championships scheduled to commence this Wednesday in Bangkok.
Bringing together 396 boxers from 26 countries, the tournament is organized by Asian Boxing in collaboration with World Boxing and the Thailand Boxing Association. It covers two age groups, U19 and U22, featuring both male and female athletes adhering to Olympic-style boxing rules.
The Indian contingent boasts a robust roster led by three-time Asian Champion and two-time National Champion Vishvanath Suresh. Also joining the squad are national championship medalists Sagar, Preet Malik, and Khelo India gold medalist Suman Kumari. Competitors will vie in ten weight categories for each age group, ranging from 47kg to +90kg for U19 men and 45-48kg to +80kg for U19 women, with similar divisions for U22 participants.
