Aris Thessaloniki winger Carles Perez has been sidelined due to a groin injury incurred during a dog attack, Spanish media reported on Wednesday. The 27-year-old player was reportedly bitten in the genitals while attempting to break up a fight between his dog and another canine.

The incident resulted in a deep wound, necessitating hospitalization. Perez had played in the Greek team's 2–1 loss against Araz-Nakhchivan in the first leg of the Europa Conference League qualifying round.

Due to the injury, local media confirmed that Perez will be unable to participate in the upcoming return leg scheduled to take place in Thessaloniki.
