Anticipation is mounting as the LEGEN-Z T10 League gets ready for its debut season, with the Bengal Tigers among the six franchises set to compete. Owned by NRI businessman Sunil Raniwala, the team is captained by former Australian white-ball leader Aaron Finch. The roster boasts a powerful mix of international prowess and Indian street-savvy players, selected from thousands of hopefuls nationwide.
Sunil Raniwala expressed his excitement about joining the league, highlighting his appreciation for India's grassroots cricket. 'I'm happy to be joining LEGEN-Z T10 League,' he said. 'I've seen how tennis ball cricket is played in India, and I believe the country's real cricketing soul thrives on the streets. Owning the Bengal Tigers is my way of giving back to a game that unites all corners of India.'
Venkatesh Prasad, Chairman of the LEGEN-Z T10 League, praised Mr. Raniwala's involvement, describing it as an affirmation of the league's mission to make cricket accessible to all Indians. Surender Agarwal, COO of the league, and Chiranjeev Dubey, its founder and CEO, both welcomed the Bengal Tigers with enthusiasm. The team is set to take the field for the inaugural match against the Royal Challengers Delhi on August 7th at the Sawai Mansingh International Stadium in Jaipur.
