Udhav Mohan, a promising batter from the Purani Dilli 6 team in the Delhi Premier League (DPL), has been named in the India under-19 cricket team for the impending tour of Australia this September. In a nod of recognition, Purani Dilli 6 extended their congratulations to Mohan for his feat. Earlier this month, during the DPL auctions, Mohan was acquired by his team for Rs 6.60 lakh. On Wednesday, the BCCI's Junior Selection Committee unveiled its 17-member squad, with Mohan standing among the top talents selected to don the national colors.
Akash Nangia, the owner of Purani Dilli 6, expressed his pride in the young cricketer, stating, 'We are extremely proud of Udhav. His selection in the India U19 squad is well deserved. I congratulate him as this is a proud moment for the entire Purani Dilli 6 family.' The India U19 team is slated to face Australia's U19 side in three one-day matches and two multi-day games, scheduled at the Norths ground in Australia, from September 21 to October 10.
As the second season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) approaches, Purani Dilli 6 is strategizing for another championship endeavor following their semi-final berth in 2024. In a strategic move, the team has entrusted leadership to Vansh Bedi as the team captain. The 2025 DPL campaign launches on August 5 against the Outer Delhi Warriors at 2:00 PM, succeeded by a pivotal clash against the West Delhi Lions on August 7 at the same time. On August 8, the New Delhi Tigers await them for a 7:00 PM prime-time encounter, while their group stage concludes on August 27 in a night game against the South Delhi Superstarz.
