Vedika Bhansali emerged victorious in the girls 9-year category of the US Kids World Championship golf event held at Pinehurst Village. Vedika's spectacular performance included a bogey-free round, scoring 4-under 32, a personal best for the week.
She completed the three-day tournament at 10-under, narrowly surpassing Japan's Emi Minami by one shot and America's Audrey Zhang by two. Vedika, who improved from her fourth place finish last year, recorded just one bogey across three rounds, capitalizing on her age group's nine-hole format.
Her success was mirrored by other Indian golfers, such as Aida Thimmaiah, who placed third in the girls 11 category with a 7-under total. Additionally, notable performances included Ananya Venkataraghavan's runner-up position in her category, closely following the winner, Bella Simoes of the USA. The tournament highlighted promising talents from around the world.
