Zharnel Hughes dominated the UK Athletics Championships in Birmingham, achieving a sprint double with his remarkable 200m victory. Clocking 19.90 seconds, Hughes set a new competition record, becoming the first to break the 20-second barrier in a British championship.

In an electrifying women's 200m, Dina Asher-Smith narrowly triumphed over Amy Hunt, both clocking a record time of 22.14 seconds. The nail-biting finish needed a photo-finish to determine the winner.

Max Burgin and Georgia Hunter Bell also shone in their events, with Burgin claiming the men's 800m title and Hunter Bell winning the women's 800m. Meanwhile, Josh Kerr succeeded in the 5,000m race with a time of 13:44.73.
