The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has announced the appointment of former British tennis player Ross Hutchins as its new chief executive officer. Hutchins, who will take over from Kelly Fairweather at the end of October, brings with him a wealth of experience both on and off the court.

At 40, Hutchins has an illustrious background, having represented Britain at the Olympics and the Davis Cup, before transitioning into his role as ATP Chief Sporting Officer. ITF President David Haggerty praised Hutchins for his leadership skills and experience, highlighting recent organizational progress in digital innovation, tour restructuring, and wheelchair tennis.

Hutchins will be instrumental in furthering the growth of major tournaments such as the Davis Cup and the Billie Jean King Cup. He will also oversee the ITF's management responsibilities in tennis and wheelchair tennis for the Olympics and Paralympics, ensuring robust qualification pathways for these prestigious events.
