The halt in league operations has been attributed to unresolved issues surrounding the Master Rights Agreement (MRA) between the AIFF and Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), the league's organizers. With the agreement set to expire in December, clubs have expressed difficulty in planning crucial operations in the absence of clear communication from the federation and its partners.
In a letter urging for a constructive dialogue, major clubs like Bengaluru FC and FC Goa have emphasized the broader impact of this uncertainty.
