Despite an ankle injury, rugby star Charlotte Caslick remains optimistic about participating in the Women's Rugby World Cup in England. Though out of Australia's opener, the former World Player of the Year hopes to face the USA later in the tournament.

Coach Jo Yapp expressed confidence in Caslick by including the 30-year-old in the squad. Caslick acknowledged the tight recovery timeline, stating, "It's a bit of a bummer but I will do everything to be as good as I can be." Both Caslick and team captain Siokapesi Palu are supporting each other in injury recovery.

The Wallaroos, ranked eighth, recently defeated Wales 36-5, displaying their growth over the past year. They aim to reach at least the quarter-finals, with Caslick set to play a pivotal role if she recovers in time.
