Young Indian Surfers Shine at Asian Championships

Indian surfers Harish Prakash and Tayin Arun advanced to the third round in the Under-18 category of the Asian Surfing Championships. Arun scored the highest among Indians with 9.23 points. Meanwhile, 11-year-old Prakash secured his place with 7.97 points. Prahlad Sriram will compete in the repechage round. Senior competitions will resume soon.

In a remarkable display of talent, India's Harish Prakash and Tayin Arun advanced to the third round of the Under-18 boys' category at the Asian Surfing Championships.

Tayin Arun led the Indian contenders with an impressive 9.23 points, trailing only Thailand's Tinn Johnson, who scored 9.60 points. Not to be outdone, 11-year-old Harish Prakash also made waves with a score of 7.97, finishing behind Malaysia's Lucas Santiago, who achieved 10.57 points.

Meanwhile, Prahlad Sriram secured a third-place finish in Heat 6 with a score of 4.94 and will vie for success in the Repechage round. Competitions for the senior men's and women's sections are set to continue on Thursday.
