Eintracht Frankfurt have announced the acquisition of Japanese forward Ritsu Doan from Freiburg, further strengthening their squad ahead of the new football season. The Bundesliga club confirmed on Thursday that Doan has signed a five-year contract until 2030.
The 27-year-old forward, who boasts 57 international caps for Japan, spent the last three years at Freiburg where he proved to be an invaluable asset. With 26 goals and 23 assists in 123 appearances, Doan's performance on the field has been consistently impressive. His arrival comes as Frankfurt prepare for a stint in the prestigious Champions League after finishing third in the Bundesliga last season.
Commenting on the signing, Markus Kroesche, Eintracht's board member for sport, highlighted Doan's exceptional skill set and experience.
