Indian rally ace Gaurav Gill is set to spearhead India's ambitious challenge at the Sumatera Utara Rally, part of the FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Championship's Asia Cup, from August 8 to 10. Backed by Team JK Tyre and Vamcy Merla Motorsports, Gill leads a formidable five-car lineup in pursuit of victory.

This campaign highlights India's largest-ever factory-backed entry in APRC history. With vehicles imported specially for this event, the team aims to leave a mark across the 12-stage, 200.6 km battle through demanding jungle tracks and volcanic gravel in Indonesia.

Widely recognized as a dominant force in the rally circuit, Gill is eager to reclaim his top spot amid fierce competition. Meanwhile, the team, which includes Vaibhav Marathe and Nikeeta Takkale, is determined to demonstrate India's rallying capabilities on the global stage.
