India's U17 women's football team is preparing for a crucial set of matches against Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in the AFC Asian Cup China 2026 Qualifiers. Grouped in Group G, the team is hopeful of advancing in the tournament.
The draw for these high-stakes matches occurred at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur. With 27 teams split into eight groups, India finds itself in a challenging position, playing in a centralized league format from October 13 to 17. The group winners will proceed to the finals, joining four teams from the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup 2025 pool.
India, aiming to make history, will face the Kyrgyz Republic on October 13 and Uzbekistan on October 17. Having been seeded in Pot 1, the Young Tigresses seek to qualify for the continental stage for the first time through the qualifiers.
