Devon Conway ended his prolonged drought in test cricket with a stunning performance, scoring 140 not out, aiding New Zealand in taking a substantial lead against Zimbabwe on the second day of the test.
His century, which is his first in over two years, along with Henry Nicholls' steady 41, took New Zealand's score to 306-2, leading by 181 runs at lunch. Despite Zimbabwe's use of six bowlers, only Vincent Masekesa managed to dismiss Jacob Duffy for 36 runs.
The home team, having already lost the first test comprehensively, struggled to rein in the visitors, with Conway particularly aggressive against the fast bowlers, reaching his century with his 13th boundary. The two-match series does not contribute to the World Test Championship.
