The Gulbarga Mystics ended their two-match losing streak in spectacular fashion, defeating Shivamogga Lions by 10 wickets at the Maharaja Trophy. Openers Luvnith Sisodia and Nikin Jose combined forces to chase down a revised target of 92 runs, as per the VJD method.
Despite an impressive start by Shivamogga's Dhruv Prabhakar, whose 44 runs off 27 balls bolstered the Lions, a rain interruption left them at 127/5 after 15.5 overs. Gulbarga's Shashi Kumar K emerged as the standout bowler, claiming two vital wickets to restrict the Lions.
Chasing the revised target, Sisodia and Jose unleashed a batting blitzkrieg. Sisodia led with 58* off 24 balls, while Jose contributed with a rapid 34* off 15. They reached their 50-run partnership within 19 balls, cruising to victory in just 6.3 overs, marking a remarkable turnaround for the Mystics.
