The Gulbarga Mystics showcased a dominant performance, securing a 10-wicket victory against the Shivamogga Lions in a rain-curtailed match at the Maharaja Trophy. A revised target of 92 runs, set by the VJD method, proved inadequate against the fiery opening duo of Luvnith Sisodia and Nikin Jose.
Chasing the target, Sisodia erupted with a stunning 58* off 24 balls, while Jose supported with 34* off 15 balls. The pair's explosive 19-ball fifty partnership laid the foundation for their team's romp, marking a welcome end to their two-match losing streak while handing the Lions their fourth straight defeat.
Earlier, despite Dhruv Prabhakar's key innings of 44 runs off 27 balls, rain curtailed the Lions' attempt at stability, ending at 127/5 in 15.5 overs. Shashi Kumar K played a pivotal role with the ball, claiming two significant wickets to stifle the Lions' momentum.
