Anticipation is mounting as the Women's Delhi Premier League (WDPL) prepares for its second edition at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, scheduled from August 17 to 24. Four teams—South Delhi Superstarz, North Delhi Strikers, East Delhi Riders, and Central Delhi Queens—will compete in a high-stakes round-robin format over the course of a week, according to an official DPL press release.

The tournament promises a thrilling commencement with a match between defending champions North Delhi Strikers and last year's finalists South Delhi Superstarz. East Delhi Riders captain Priya Punia expressed her enthusiasm, acknowledging the role of the DDCA in providing a significant platform for cricket talent. She remarked, "We're absolutely thrilled for the tournament. Our sincere gratitude goes to the DDCA for their vision and hard work in turning this league into a reality."

Echoing this sentiment, Shweta Sehrawat, captain of the South Delhi Superstarz, noted, "We can't wait for the tournament to get underway. The atmosphere is buzzing." Meanwhile, Ayushi Soni of the North Delhi Strikers hailed the league as a celebration that would inspire players and fans alike. Central Delhi Queens captain Soni Yadav added that the tournament is set to be a fantastic showcase of talent, crediting the DDCA's commitment to growing the game. The grand finale on August 24 will see the top two teams from the league stage vying for victory.
