Injuries Sideline Key Players from Duleep Trophy Clash

Indian cricket team faces a reshuffle as injuries rule out key players Akash Deep and Ishan Kishan from the upcoming Duleep Trophy quarterfinal against North Zone. The match is set to be held at the BCCI Centre of Excellence grounds in Bengaluru starting August 28.

Akash Deep, a pace bowler, is sidelined by a back injury incurred during the recent England tour, where he showcased his skills with an impressive performance. Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan is recovering from a hand injury sustained from an e-bike accident, ruling him out of action for now.

With Kishan and Akash away, Abhimanyu Easwaran steps in to captain the East Zone team, supported by vice-captain Riyan Parag. The match will also see veteran pacer Mohammed Shami return to the field, adding experience to the squad along with Mukesh Kumar.
