In an inspiring comeback, Keegan Messing, a distinguished figure in men's figure skating, has announced his return to competitive ice skating. Having originally retired in May 2023, Messing now aims to join the Canadian team for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics.

The 33-year-old athlete cited his recent stellar performances during the 'Stars On Ice' tour as key to reigniting his competitive spirit. 'I've put in the work, regained my jumps, and rediscovered the fire within myself to train,' Messing remarked in a Skate Canada press release.

Messing, who represented Canada at both the Pyeongchang 2018 and Beijing 2022 Olympics, faced a challenging time before Beijing due to a COVID-19 quarantine. Despite this, he managed to secure a commendable 11th place overall. His story is one of resilience and determination.
