Visa-related obstacles are thwarting the Indian boxing team's planned training in the UK, a crucial build-up to the World Championships in Liverpool. With departures slated for last Sunday, only a few of the squad have managed to secure their visas.
Currently, four women boxers and some staff have arrived in the UK, leaving the majority, including the entire men's team, stranded at the national camp. The head coach expressed frustration over the delays affecting training schedules.
The Boxing Federation of India, in coordination with the Indian Embassy and Sports Ministry, is striving to expedite the visa process. Despite these efforts, the team hopes for quick resolution as partial contingency trains already in England.
