A young army aspirant tragically lost his life during a running assessment in Kakinada district. The incident involved 20-year-old G Saikiran from Sreeharinaidupeta in Vizianagaram district.
According to Kakinada Deputy Superintendent of Police Devraj Patil, Saikiran was participating in the 1,600 meters running event when he suddenly collapsed halfway through the course.
Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention, doctors pronounced Saikiran dead around 5 pm, casting a shadow on the rigorous demands of army fitness assessments.
