Clinical Hubli Tigers Roar to Victory Over Mangaluru Dragons

The Hubli Tigers put on a dominant all-round show to secure a 23-run victory against the Mangaluru Dragons at the Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar Stadium in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20. With this win, the Tigers soared to the top of the points table, while the Dragons slipped to third, according to a release from the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).

Captaining the side, Devdutt Padikkal led from the front with a commanding half-century, well-supported by Abhinav Manohar. Bowlers KC Cariappa and Yash Punja both claimed three-wicket hauls, while Shreesha Achar and Nathan D'Mello picked up two wickets each. In contrast, Mangaluru's Kranthi Kumar stood out with a three-wicket effort, and Macneil Noronha topped the scoring for his team.

Batting first, the Tigers aimed for a quick start, with Padikkal and Taha building a 23-run opening partnership before Taha's dismissal by Ronit More. Despite early setbacks, Padikkal and Krishnan Shrijith formed a strong third-wicket stand, setting up a solid foundation alongside Manohar for a strong finish. The Dragons, unable to match the Tigers' intensity, were eventually bowled out for 129 in 18.3 overs.
